Balance & Dizziness Canada Looks Forward

April 12, 2018

We Welcome The Status Bureau to Our Team!

While no one on the Board and none of our volunteers at Balance & Dizziness Canada are marketing experts, we do seem to have the luck of the Irish! Because in February of 2018, our dear administrative assistant asked her nephew, Darren, to give us some much-needed guidance in Internet marketing and search engine optimization.

How lucky can we be to have hired an admin assistant whose nephew works for The Status Bureau, a digital marketing company with offices in Vancouver and Edmonton? Then, how lucky can we be to have The Status Bureau accept that challenge and take us on as one of their pro bono clients? Although we did realize that many companies have a policy of doing pro bono work, we are a tiny organization and not very well known, so why would we be lucky enough to be chosen? Well, maybe Darren just couldn't say no to his auntie!

Today we had a conference call with Darren and we were blown away, excited and invigorated. He understood our needs and has even worked with similar non-profits who don't necessarily have "sexy" stories to tell or "race for the cure" excitement to share with donors. Many vestibular sufferers have chronic conditions: not very sexy and, of course, not likely to get cured. But Balance & Dizziness Canada has many resources to share with dizzy people and people with chronic balance issues to make their lives so much better. We just need to get the information out there so we can help these folks. We also need to educate medical professionals, caregivers, families, employers, emergency personnel... and everyone else!

Our website and Facebook page are the platforms we've been trying to use for these purposes. But we have needed help getting people to visit those platforms.

Today we realized that help has arrived!

[Update November 2018: Our new liaison at The Status Bureau is Tiana He.]
