AGM Results: Our New Team at Balance & Dizziness Canada

April 11, 2019

The 2019 Balance & Dizziness Canada AGM last evening was amazing! We have a new president and two new members-at-large!

It is with great excitement that we welcome our very own Erica Zaia as our new president. Erica has been associated with Balance & Dizziness Canada since 2010 and has been a member-at-large on our board in the past and our vice president for the last two years.

We also welcome two new members-at-large: Roland Fletcher and Farron Fedechko. Roly and Farron are both physiotherapists with extensive training and a strong interest in balance and dizziness disorders.

The rest of our board members are as follows: Secretary (Joyce Pinsker), Treasurer (Martin Pinsker), Members-at-Large (Sue Erb, John Smith, Andrea Wilson).

After the AGM, Erica announced our plans for 2019, which include contracting the services of a medical writer and the plan to hire a medical illustrator. The medical writer has already completed the first article (on Ménière’s disease) which should be up on the website today. We feel that it is the most comprehensive article on Ménière’s disease to be found anywhere on the Internet. I will post an announcement once it is available for viewing.

After the 2019 announcements, Erica engaged the audience in a lively discussion on some of the latest technology that is available to help treat balance and dizziness disorders, including the PoNS device, which we have had a multitude of calls and emails about.

We all left the meeting in high spirits and the sun was shining for the walk, bus trip or drive home.
